Heverlee is a Belgian beer whose origins date back almost 1,000 years at the Abbey of the Order of Premontre just outside Leuven. It’s here that the monks, in 1129, first developed the light drinking beer that would later inspire the creation of Heverlee.
Heverlee’s brand positioning and visual style was inspired by classic geometric illustration and typography from early 20th century European design, a very iconic period of advertising within the industry. The project involved the creation of guidelines as well as art directing an image library and delivering multiple on and off trade activation including packaging and brand activation campaigns.

Rizograph printed posters
A Rizograph printing process was used to create an authentic screen printed feel to the point of sale posters. The posters were printed using 3 colours on Cyclus Offset, the recycled nature of the paper added to the hand generated feel.
